Since 2019, Saskatchewan Polytechnic of Canada has maintained close cooperation with Jiangxi Civil Affairs School and Ganzhou Teachers College in areas such as autism-related teacher skill training and professional curriculum development.

To emphasize the importance of practical training bases in discipline construction, Dr. Larry Rosia, President of Saskatchewan Polytechnic, led a delegation to conduct an on-site inspection at Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation and Training Center on April 17, 2024. Yuan Jinliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangxi Civil Affairs School, Zheng Hanzhou, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Center, and Zhang Yiping, the Vice Principal in charge of teaching at the Center, accompanied the inspection.

The founder of the Center extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and briefly introduced the Center's international school-running philosophy and teaching-research achievements in special education.

During the visit, Dr. Larry held discussions and exchanges with the Center's founder regarding the Center's assessment system, curriculum system, and teaching system. When the founder explained how the Center's teachers conduct stress-resistance and anti-interference training for students with autism, Dr. Larry expressed great interest and recognition. He believed that such training plays a remarkably significant role in improving the behavioral quality of children with autism.

Subsequently, the delegation visited various areas of the Center one by one. When they arrived at the social skills classroom, Xu Hui, the head of the Center's teaching and research group, was conducting a social skills class with two students. Dr. Larry was very pleased to see the children greet him politely. He praised the flexibility of the teaching content and the smoothness of the teaching process, and expressed high recognition for the Center's teaching philosophy and curriculum model.

Members of the delegation from Saskatchewan Polytechnic also stated that many of the Center's characteristic spaces are designed with great creativity, and the introduction boards on the walls are highly detailed, creating a very warm rehabilitation environment for children with special needs.

Finally, the delegation from Saskatchewan Polytechnic expressed their gratitude for the Center's warm reception and stated that they were honored to visit this practical training base. Dr. Larry also mentioned that the number of children with autism is increasing day by day, and the Center has built a mature platform that can effectively assist in the rehabilitation of children with autism, benefiting many autistic families.

Since 2019, Saskatchewan Polytechnic has sent professors specializing in special education to China to give lectures on special education professional knowledge training for Bairun Training School. In 2024, we will cooperate with Saskatchewan Polytechnic again to launch the third phase of special education professional knowledge training lectures. One of the Center's primary goals is to continuously introduce the world's most advanced and popular intervention methods and concepts, so as to promote the improvement of autism intervention standards in our province.
