Foreign Experts from Canada Visit Bairun

发布时间:2025-09-08

On February 24, 2025, the Sino-Foreign Autism Intervention Training Program was officially launched. Two foreign experts in the field of autism from Saskatchewan Polytechnic (Canada) visited Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation and Training Center in Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City, to conduct a one-week training and teaching program. All faculty and staff of the Center extended a warm welcome to the foreign experts!

On the morning of the 24th, accompanied by the Center's Teaching and Research Department, the foreign experts visited the entire institution, gained an understanding of the Center's rehabilitation work progress, and held face-to-face discussions with teachers to share international rehabilitation methods and approaches.

During the visit, Teacher Liu and Teacher Jiang of the Center gave a report in English to the two foreign experts on the overview of the Center's rehabilitation work. The two experts listened to the introduction of the Center's development, and conducted an on-site inspection of the Center's hardware facilities, including group class classrooms, situational classrooms, sensory integration training rooms, assessment rooms, large-class classrooms, and individualized intervention rooms.

The experts provided professional communication and guidance on the Center's professional service standards in aspects such as the design of rehabilitation teaching content, the training of rehabilitation teachers, and the operation and use of various functional rooms.

The two foreign experts spoke highly of the Center's work in the field of autism, noting that the academic information boards posted on the walls were comprehensive, and that the Center's environmental construction had played a significant role in the intervention for children with autism. At the same time, they also put forward some suggestions for the intervention work for autistic children.

Teacher Exchange Meeting

At the teacher exchange meeting, the two foreign experts shared with the teachers the latest evidence-based and effective rehabilitation concepts in the field of autism intervention in Canada.

During the interactive session, teachers actively asked questions. When Teacher Shi of the Center asked whether Canada attached more importance to naturalistic teaching, the two foreign experts stated that this was an excellent question. In Canada, they used naturalistic teaching as much as possible; however, when children exhibited more dangerous behaviors, tabletop teaching would still be adopted. During the rehabilitation training process, greater emphasis was placed on interaction, senses, environment, and other aspects.

The two foreign experts gave detailed answers to all subsequent questions raised by the teachers from the Center. This seminar helped us gain an understanding of the different intervention methods and strategies between China and Canada, injecting a fresh impetus into the sustainable development of our Center.

In the future, Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation and Training Center will continue to deepen its expertise in autism rehabilitation technologies for children, continuously introduce cutting-edge international intervention methods, establish strategic alliances with industry experts, and work together. With faith and action, we will strive diligently and move forward courageously to promote the healthy growth of children with special needs!
