As Children's Day approaches, representatives from the Second Party Branch of undergraduate students at the School of Energy and Mechanical Engineering, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, visited the Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation Training Center in Qingyunpu District, Nanchang on May 30. To uphold the spirit of Lei Feng—embodying the joy of helping others and wholeheartedly serving the people—and to contribute modestly to the social support for children with autism, they joined Party members from the center's Party branch in conducting volunteer activities focused on caring for children with autism.

Classroom Assistant
During the event, some volunteers took on the role of “little teachers,” accompanying children during their classes. Throughout the activity, volunteers closely monitored the children's emotional changes, maintained effective communication and interaction with them, and gently and patiently guided the children to participate in the activities.

During the game session, volunteers played games with the children, using interactive play to build rapport with them.
Decorating the Children's Day Venue
Some volunteers arrived at the classroom where the Children's Day activities would be held to set up festive decorations for the children in advance.
“Place this flower here, hang a balloon over there...” They worked efficiently with clear divisions of labor—some inflating balloons, others arranging decorations. Before long, through their seamless collaboration, the once plain classroom transformed into a vibrant space brimming with holiday cheer.

Through this volunteer activity, we provided care and understanding to children with autism. Participating Party member volunteers stated that this volunteer effort was highly meaningful, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of these “children of the stars.” Moving forward, they pledged to increase their knowledge, understanding, respect, and acceptance of the autism community, offering them greater warmth and support.
