-World Autism Awareness Day Introduction-

"Caring for children with autism,

supporting caregivers and professionals

who assist individuals with autism."

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, established by the United Nations to raise awareness about autism, related research and diagnosis, and individuals with autism.

Autism, also known as autism spectrum disorder, is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by varying degrees of difficulties in social interaction and communication, restricted interests and repetitive behaviors, and sensory abnormalities.

Over the past decade, the prevalence of ASD among children has risen significantly worldwide, including in China, drawing heightened attention from families, society, and governments.

This special group urgently needs society's attention and care. The Bairun Education and Rehabilitation Center also actively promotes public awareness campaigns to help more people understand “children with autism.”

01

Community Awareness Campaign

The Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation Training Center in Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City, organized this community awareness campaign for children with autism, hoping to garner greater attention from all sectors of society for this special group.

02

Disability Federation Government Public Awareness Campaign

On April 2nd, a large-scale event hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation, Jiangxi Provincial Health Commission, and Nanchang Municipal People's Government Disability Work Committee garnered significant public attention.

As a designated rehabilitation institution of the Disability Federation, Bairun sent children from its Hua Hua Class to perform the dance “Chinese Style.” Their passionate and spirited performance earned enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The center dispatched teachers to the venue to serve as volunteers.

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China explicitly states: “Improve the social security system and care service system for persons with disabilities, and promote the comprehensive development of the cause of persons with disabilities.” We are confident that under the earnest care of the Party and the government, support policies for autism will become increasingly comprehensive, and attention and support from all sectors of society for individuals with autism and their caregivers will continue to grow. Through the concerted efforts of rehabilitation professionals, the level and techniques of autism rehabilitation will also steadily advance.
