This year marks the third year of MyStar team coach Bairun! In addition to monthly online coaching sessions, the in-person team training camp is definitely not to be missed
From April 19 to April 21, 2024, amid great anticipation, the My Star team conducted a three-day training program at the Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation Training Center in Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City. The program featured on-site lesson observations with feedback, hands-on demonstrations, teacher training sessions, and parent education lectures. Let's revisit the highlights of these three days!
On the morning of April 19, teachers from the MyStar team arrived early at Bairun. Center staff warmly welcomed the visiting supervisors. Led by the center's founder, they toured the facility and learned about the center's organizational structure.
The center prepared the children's files and course information in advance. After understanding the children's primary characteristics, teachers Kaidi and Sihui divided into two groups, entered the classrooms, observed the lessons on-site, provided immediate feedback on issues, and when necessary, demonstrated practical techniques step-by-step.
Through classroom observations, identify issues present in each child and pinpoint areas where teachers can enhance and improve their teaching practices.
During the second day of teacher team training, MyStar instructors built upon the classroom observation feedback from the previous day to delve into teaching techniques. They emphasized flexible intervention, skillful application, and natural intervention. In the afternoon, NET (Natural Environment Teaching) instructors delivered professional and detailed lessons that inspired each teacher across multiple dimensions and yielded varying levels of insight. This learning experience guided their professional growth, empowering them to provide enhanced services for children with special needs.
The third day of parent training lectures featured a lively atmosphere with every seat filled. During the sessions, teachers provided clear and accessible explanations to address parents' intervention challenges. Drawing on numerous real-life examples, two instructors shared practical home intervention techniques and hands-on experience in engaging children in high-quality play interactions.
During the parent Q&A session, parents engaged in face-to-face discussions with teachers like Kai Di and Si Hui. The teachers patiently addressed the challenges and concerns raised by parents, offering fresh insights for home-based interventions for children with autism.
We held an offline certification ceremony where Bairun Education became an Efficient Intervention Practice Unit of the MyStar team, working together to create a brighter future for children with autism.
The three-day residential training packed with knowledge and practical skills proved immensely rewarding for teachers and parents alike. Participants unanimously expressed their commitment to applying these insights in daily life, laying a solid foundation for their children's integration. Bairun Education will further introduce advanced teaching resources to comprehensively enhance faculty capabilities and instructional standards, continuing to empower more children with autism to integrate into school life and return to mainstream society!
