The year 2024 has passed, and we welcome the brand-new year of 2025. To foster a joyful festive atmosphere and promote social, cognitive, and emotional development among the “Children of the Stars,” the New Year's Day celebration event titled “Golden Snake Celebrates the New Year, Children's Delight Welcomes the New” was successfully held on the afternoon of January 4th at the Bairun Children's Behavioral Rehabilitation Training Center in Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City. Teachers, students, and parents gathered together to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
The venue was stocked with an array of snacks and refreshments, and each child received a gift bag filled with items symbolizing good fortune. May the children enjoy abundant luck and blessings in the new year.
The afternoon activities officially commenced with the center director delivering an opening address. Reflecting on the past year's achievements and looking ahead to the new year's aspirations, he extended the warmest welcome and most sincere gratitude to all attendees.
The New Year's performance was co-hosted by Teacher Zhou and students from the center. The two young hosts' outstanding performance drew waves of applause from the audience.
Throughout the event, a series of spectacular cultural performances unfolded. Children and teachers collaborated to present a variety of acts, including songs, dances, and poetry recitations, fully showcasing their talents and vitality.
A rousing drum performance of “China's Beauty” kicked off the event, while the children's African drum dance “Little Fish Bubbling” brimmed with childlike charm. Children from the kindergarten transition class, dressed in ancient attire, sang “Filial Piety in Chinese Culture.” Center teachers performed the Guzheng piece “Slow Melody,” and students recited “Write Chinese Characters Well, Speak Chinese Well.” These programs, rich in historical resonance, seemed to transport everyone back in time to ancient China. The center teachers' fan dance “Snow Dragon Chant” brought the event to its climax; the students' powerful Taekwondo demonstration was full of energy; another student's rendition of “School Song” had all the children singing along; finally, the teachers' energetic chorus of “I Believe,” brimming with passion, expressed the center's beautiful hopes for the children.
This event fully showcased their talents and progress, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The performances by the “contestants” in the game segment had the entire venue in stitches, while the parent-child cooperative games highlighted the spirit of teamwork, filling the space with continuous laughter and joy.
What New Year's gala would be complete without an exciting raffle? The center prepared generous prizes, sending the atmosphere soaring to new heights.
Accompanied applause and laughter, this event drew to a successful close.
This gathering not only allowed children with autism and their families to feel the care and warmth of the center, but also provided them with a platform to showcase themselves and enhance communication. Over the past year, through the joint efforts of teachers and parents, the children experienced both the joy of growth and the disappointment of setbacks. Yet no matter what they faced, our journey forward never faltered. As the new year approaches, our “Star Treasures” will continue to strive forward, shining brightly with courage.
In the coming year, guided by the Party and government, the center will continue its commitment to autism rehabilitation. Through concrete actions, we will contribute to the high-quality development of the autism rehabilitation education sector.
