From January 9 to 11, 2026, the inaugural annual meeting of the IBAO Chinese Chapter was held in Qingdao. Five faculty members from our center's management team were invited to attend the IBAO annual conference.

January 9-11, 2026, the inaugural annual conference of the Chinese Chapter of the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO) was held at the Star River Bay Hotel in Qingdao, Shandong Province, spanning one and a half days. The conference attracted over 200 participants, including behavior analysts and trainees from across the country. The conference featured presentations and sharing sessions by distinguished speakers including: Dr. Michael M. Mueller, Founder & Executive Director of IBAO and author of AFLS; Dr. Feng Hua, Director of the Center for Applied Behavior Analysis Research and Development at National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan; Dr. Xu Sheng from the Department of Special Education at East China Normal University; Dr. Zhu Jing, Technical Director of Teaching at Zunyi Behavioral Consulting; Director Chen Junyan from the Children's Growth Center at Qingdao Binhai University; along with other renowned lecturers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and internationally.
The theme of the annual conference is “From Theoretical Evidence to Sharing Practices,” featuring a parallel format of lectures and workshops covering topics such as language, educational environments, school-age children, psychology, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Unlike most domestic conferences that typically feature a single theme and format, this IBAO Annual Conference adopted a “five-track” structure: one main lecture concurrently running with four parallel workshops on distinct themes. Each theme represented the expansion and deepening of behavioral analysis across different application levels, allowing every participant to select content most relevant to their needs.
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Dr. Lin Fanyu, Head of IBAO Greater China Region, and commenced punctually at 8:30 AM on January 10th in the main venue. Dr. Sun Haiying, Director of Qingdao Starry Sky Intelligent Journey Psychological Rehabilitation Center, and Liu Meng, Deputy Director of the Project Department at Beijing Aier Foundation, delivered speeches respectively. Subsequently, Dr. Michael M. Mueller presented a keynote address outlining the historical development of ABA, the founding journey of IBAO, and its future vision.
