Empowering Through Expertise, Building the Future Together

Bringing the “Bairun Spirit” to the Special Education Sector

Introduction

On the path of special education, every contribution of professional expertise is a spark that lights up the stars. From May to June 2025, two teachers from Nanchang Bairun Education traveled to Ganzhou to deliver a five-week educational program—combining theory and practice—for students enrolled in the Sino-foreign cooperative program in Early Childhood Education (including a specialization in education for children with autism), jointly offered by Ganzhou Teachers College and the Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Canada, as well as for students in the regular Early Childhood Education and Special Education programs. This initiative not only served as a transfer of knowledge and a means to enhance students’ employability but also marked a significant step forward in the development of special education talent in Jiangxi Province.

As one of the provincial standardized training bases for autism rehabilitation within the Jiangxi Provincial Federation of Disabled Persons, Bairun Education has consistently upheld the philosophy of “acceptance, respect, care, and innovation,” dedicating more than a decade to advancing the field of autism rehabilitation. In addition to providing personalized rehabilitation services for children with autism, Bairun Education has long been responsible for teacher training and instructional supervision at special education institutions across the province, disseminating cutting-edge international rehabilitation concepts and practical expertise throughout the region.

The joint educational program between Ganzhou Trachers College and Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Canada is the first Sino-Canadian cooperative program in China to focus specifically on the education of children with autism. The program has been shortlisted for the 2024 “Going Global: China’s Vocational Education Solutions—Outstanding Case Studies of Vocational Education Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative,” and aims to cultivate special education professionals who possess both an international perspective and practical skills applicable to the local context.

The addition of the Bairun faculty team has infused the program with practical, down-to-earth experience.

During this session, Professors Jiang and Xu addressed topics such as early childhood education, the design of inquiry-based learning environments, and the practical foundations of teaching skills to students with autism. Through case studies, role-playing exercises, and interactive discussions, they helped students in the Sino-foreign cooperative international program break down complex professional concepts and build a solid foundation for their careers. They also assisted the students in effectively bridging international theoretical knowledge with local practical applications.

Precisely Matching Needs

The course content is closely aligned with students' future professional contexts, such as “Designing Heuristic Learning Environments” and “Basic Concepts of Applied Behavior Analysis.”

Practical

“Through video analysis of real-life case studies and demonstrations of teaching tools, students will be able to understand, learn, and apply the material.” We design simulated classroom scenarios to allow students to experience the role of an autism rehabilitation teacher in advance.

We look forward to partnering with more universities and institutions to collectively elevate the professional standards of the special education sector in Jiangxi Province. Moving forward, Bairun Education will continue to leverage its strengths in autism rehabilitation and special education teacher training to cultivate more compassionate professionals who embody “specialization, standardization, and internationalization.”

The growth of every special education professional has the potential to change the lives of many children. We aspire to be the cloud that cradles the starlight, paving a hopeful path toward the future for children with special needs.
