On April 16, the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) launched its “Delivering Theory, Warmth, and Culture to the Grassroots” initiative at the Activity Center of Jiangxi Vocational College of Management. In collaboration with the autism rehabilitation organization Bairun Education, the event focused on children with autism—a special group—and carried out a series of care and support activities. Through compassion and expertise, the initiative built a bridge for “children of the stars” to connect with the world, promoting the spirit of the “Three Deliveries” so that it takes root at the grassroots level and yields tangible results, and to support Bairun Education in better carrying out its autism rehabilitation and assistance work.
This event was meticulously organized by the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in collaboration with Bairun Education. A team of professional experts was invited to visit grassroots communities, adhering to the principle of “people-oriented, targeted assistance.” By seamlessly integrating “delivering warmth,” “delivering culture,” and “delivering knowledge,” the initiative effectively addressed the practical needs of children with autism at Bairun Education and its affiliated institutions. In the lead-up to the event, the expert team engaged in close coordination with Bairun Education. Taking into account the rehabilitation needs of children with autism, they delivered carefully prepared school supplies and daily necessities to the children, ensuring that the care of the Party and the government, as well as the warmth of society, reached the children precisely. This not only provided material support for Bairun Education’s rehabilitation efforts but also ensured that the “Delivering Warmth” initiative was not merely a formality but was carried out in a substantive and meaningful way.
Focusing on “Delivering Culture” to empower the rehabilitation of children with autism, the expert team organized by the Provincial CPPCC leveraged their professional expertise—tailored to the cognitive characteristics of these children—to collaborate with Bairun Education in conducting a week-long specialized African drumming program for the children at the facility. Throughout the instruction, the experts worked closely with Bairun Education’s rehabilitation teachers, providing patient guidance and a step-by-step approach. Through engaging activities such as beat interaction and rhythm imitation, they helped the children open their senses and relax their minds and bodies, gradually building their confidence and learning to communicate. By allowing the children to experience joy through music, the initiative truly embodied the principles of “cultivating people through culture and nourishing the heart with beauty.” It also infused new vitality into Bairun Education’s rehabilitation curriculum, vividly putting into practice the concept of promoting holistic individual development—a core tenet of the “Delivering Theory” initiative.
After two weeks of dedicated guidance and with the assistance of rehabilitation teachers from Bairun Education, the children took the stage with confidence on the day of the event, delivering a well-coordinated and captivating African drum performance. The rhythmic drumbeats and innocent smiles showcased the children’s growth and transformation throughout their rehabilitation journey at Bairun Education. They moved every member of the audience, and the continuous applause created the warmest moment of the event, highlighting Bairun Education’s dedicated efforts in the field of autism rehabilitation.
At the conclusion of the event, Bairun Education, an autism rehabilitation organization, held a signing ceremony with representatives from relevant provincial and municipal art institutions to jointly sign an art education cooperation plan. Under the plan, all parties will establish a long-term cooperative mechanism centered on Bairun Education. Professional instructors will be dispatched regularly to Bairun Education to conduct art education activities, providing continuous, standardized art therapy courses and teaching support for children with autism at the institution. This initiative will help Bairun Education further refine its rehabilitation education system and enhance the quality of its instruction. This initiative marks a significant upgrade of the Provincial CPPCC’s “Three Deliveries” grassroots outreach campaign, shifting from “one-time cultural outreach” to “regular service delivery,” while also establishing a sustainable platform for artistic rehabilitation and growth at Bairun Education.
The Provincial CPPCC’s “Three Deliveries” grassroots outreach initiative, centered on Bairun Education, not only provided material support and emotional comfort to children with autism at the institution but also facilitated the dissemination of high-quality cultural resources. This effort has offered strong support for Bairun Education’s rehabilitation and educational work while broadening the avenues for caring for and assisting vulnerable groups. As a vivid demonstration of the Provincial CPPCC and Bairun Education working together to fulfill their original aspirations and mission, care for special populations, and support grassroots social governance, the campaign further consolidated the collective efforts of all sectors of society to care for children with autism and support autism rehabilitation. It also highlighted Bairun Education’s responsibility and commitment in the field of autism rehabilitation, injecting positive energy into the creation of an inclusive, warm, and caring social environment.
