Larry Rosia, President of Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Canada, made a special trip to the event along with other Canadian guests to offer his congratulations. Zhao Yonghong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Ganzhou Normal College, along with other college leaders, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Hu Kelong, with faculty and students from both China and Canada witnessing this moment of honor, which holds both commemorative significance and industry value. As the core facilitator and coordinator of this Sino-Canadian cooperative education program, Bairun Education was fully involved in project alignment, resource coordination, the integration of Chinese and foreign teaching methods, and implementation support, laying a solid foundation for the program’s steady progress and the students’ successful graduation.

The ceremony officially began with a heartwarming introductory video that traced the growth of students in the Sino-foreign cooperative education program over the past three years. Scenes of classroom learning, field studies, practical training, and cross-cultural interactions between Chinese and foreign teachers and students vividly showcased the program’s educational achievements in integrating high-quality educational resources from China and Canada, deeply moving the teachers, students, and guests in attendance. After all attendees stood to listen to the national anthems of China and Canada, Zhao Yonghong, President of Ganzhou Teachers College, delivered a speech. He stated that the successful graduation of the first cohort of students marks the first significant achievement of the partnership between the two institutions, carrying profound significance and immense value. He fully affirmed the transformation and growth of the students under the joint guidance of Chinese and Canadian faculty, while also urging all graduates to remain true to their original aspirations in education, uphold the unity of knowledge and action, and cultivate a deep sense of patriotism. “Together, you are a blazing fire; apart, you are stars filling the sky. Your alma mater will always be your steadfast support.” These heartfelt words, brimming with hope, also demonstrated the school’s unwavering determination to deepen Sino-foreign educational cooperation and continue cultivating internationally-minded educational talent.

Larry Rosia, President of Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Canada, highly commended the well-rounded qualities of the first graduating class, hailing the students as “the best ambassadors” for the China-Canada cooperative program. He noted that the students successfully balanced their domestic major courses with specialized Canadian courses, overcoming academic challenges through tenacity and relentless effort, thereby fully embodying the fine qualities of young students in the new era. At the same time, he encouraged the graduates to maintain their passion for lifelong learning, to dare to push their limits and move forward steadily, and to leverage their professional expertise and cross-cultural perspectives to shine in the field of education and empower society. The speeches by the Chinese and Canadian presidents echoed one another, both reflecting on the original mission of education. This not only served as a strong affirmation of the graduates’ achievements but also provided compelling evidence of the success of this Sino-Canadian educational cooperation program.

Graduate representative Fang Qi took the stage to share her reflections on her three years of study, recounting her personal growth and transformation under the internationalized teaching model: from the nervousness and awkwardness she felt when she first arrived on campus—including the anxiety and forgotten lines she experienced when speaking on stage—to her current proficiency in professional skills, her ability to independently design specialized teaching plans, and her capacity to use professional teaching methods to support children with special needs. She candidly shared that three years of Sino-Canadian integrated education had broadened her international educational horizons and solidified her professional foundation in special and early childhood education. Graduation is not an endpoint, but a brand-new beginning; all students will carry a heart of gratitude, carry forward the advanced educational philosophies of China and Canada, and safeguard the growth of every child with professional competence and a dedication to education. Teacher representative Yue Qi also extended her best wishes to all graduates, presenting them with three guiding principles: “a sense of reverence, compassion, and curiosity.” She wished the students to carry love in their hearts, a sparkle in their eyes, and effective methods in their hands as they move steadily forward on their educational journey.

The atmosphere at the ceremony was solemn yet warm. President Larry Rosia presented diplomas to each graduate one by one and posed for photos with them, capturing the glorious moment that belongs exclusively to the first graduating class. To express their gratitude to their teachers, student representatives presented handmade gifts to the dedicated faculty members from both China and abroad. All students stood and bowed deeply to the teachers, paying tribute to their three years of dedicated instruction and support.

The successful conclusion of this inaugural commencement ceremony not only serves as a comprehensive review of the educational achievements of the Sino-Canadian joint education program over the past three years, but also reflects the significant accomplishments of Bairun Education in deepening international educational partnerships and supporting the internationalization of local universities. As the dedicated coordinating and enabling partner for this Sino-Canadian cooperative education program, Bairun Education has served as a communication bridge between Ganzhou TeachersCollege and Saskatchewan Polytechnic throughout the entire process, precisely aligning the educational resources, teaching systems, and talent development standards of both institutions. It has comprehensively coordinated all aspects of the project, including implementation, curriculum alignment, faculty exchange, and practical training support, breaking down communication barriers in cross-border education and integrating high-quality educational resources to ensure the project’s standardized and high-quality operation.

In this new stage of development, Bairun Education will continue to leverage its core strengths in integrating international educational resources and coordinating school-enterprise partnerships. We will further deepen our strategic collaboration with Ganzhou Teachers College and Saskatchewan Polytechnic to help the program enrich its educational content, optimize its talent development models, and enhance the quality of its programs. In the future, Bairun Education will continue to build international educational exchange platforms, promote the introduction of more high-quality overseas educational resources to southern Ganzhou, and assist local universities in cultivating a greater number of high-caliber professionals in early childhood and special education who possess an international perspective, solid professional skills, and well-rounded competencies. This will empower the high-quality, international development of early childhood and special education in the region.
