Children's Day Market Comes to a Successful Close
With hearts full of childlike wonder and joy, as Children’s Day—a day brimming with tenderness and beauty—approaches, Nanchang Bairun has transformed into a whimsical wonderland. A heartwarming Children’s Day fair themed “Big Hands Hold Little Hands: Celebrating Children’s Day with Joy” has officially kicked off. All faculty and staff, along with the children and their parents, joined hands to create a special festive celebration for “children with autism” through a fun-filled market featuring interactive games, hands-on crafts, and joyful photo opportunities. This event also provided a relaxed and warm platform for social integration among the children.
The carefully decorated playground was transformed into a whimsical children’s market brimming with festive spirit. Colorful decorations and fun-filled themed booths instantly set the festive mood. On the day of the event, children, armed with their own point cards and guided by parents and teachers, wandered among the various stalls, immersing themselves in the joy of Children’s Day. With every brave attempt and every successfully completed challenge, they earned special points, accumulating their hard work to redeem their very own festive surprises.
The lively opening ceremony set a wonderful tone for the event. A special guest clown made a surprise appearance, and with his lively and entertaining interactions and creative balloon sculptures, he instantly captured the attention of all the children, filling the venue with constant laughter and joy. Next, the toddlers performed a carefully rehearsed sign language dance. Their innocent movements and genuine smiles warmed the hearts of everyone present, creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the event.
Six themed booths took turns stealing the show, providing endless fun for the kids! From DIY lacquered fans and bracelet weaving to ring toss, “Hen Laying Eggs,” “Rolling Tires,” and “Fun Lobster Fishing,” these activities—which combine fun, hands-on creativity, and physical activity—kept the children fully immersed and thoroughly entertained throughout the event.
Among the activities, the crayfish fishing booth proved to be an incredibly popular photo spot. The center thoughtfully provided 50 pounds of live crayfish, allowing the children to experience the joy of fishing up close. With patient guidance from parents and teachers, the children watched intently, waited patiently, and tried their hand at fishing time and again. Many of them successfully caught crayfish, truly understanding the value of hard work and gaining a deep sense of accomplishment and happiness.
After exploring the park and completing the fun challenges, the much-anticipated snack redemption session finally arrived. Using the points they had earned through their efforts, the children independently selected their favorite treats from the snack area. Through this immersive experience, the children not only enjoyed delicious food and had fun, but also subtly developed an understanding of rules and social communication skills. They learned to wait patiently and control their impulses, effectively cultivating their ability to delay gratification.
The Joyful Market is more than just a festive celebration; it is an immersive, gamified rehabilitation and growth workshop.
This event cleverly integrates professional rehabilitation goals into fun games, truly achieving the goal of “learning through play” and “promoting health through fun.” Lacquered fan painting and bracelet weaving help children develop fine motor skills and concentration; tire rolling and fun competitive games strengthen their gross motor skills and physical coordination; and the system of earning points through challenges and redeeming gifts allows children to intuitively understand the growth principle that “effort leads to reward,” continuously enhancing their self-awareness and self-efficacy as they make progress through play and grow through experience.
The Event Has Come to a Close, but the Warmth Endures and Growth Continues
This Children’s Day Fun Fair received unanimous praise and high acclaim from parents. Many parents took the initiative to share their children’s memorable moments and growth milestones on social media and in class chat groups, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the center’s thoughtful preparation and warm support, and for the opportunity to witness their children’s courageous breakthroughs and steady progress through these interactive activities.
