Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation Drill
To further enhance fire safety awareness among all faculty and students, improve their ability to evacuate in emergencies and protect themselves, and effectively strengthen safety measures, Slark organized a fire safety emergency evacuation drill on July 29, 2026. The event combined “training and drills,” integrating fire safety education into both daily instruction and practical simulations, thereby providing faculty and students with a vivid “mandatory safety lesson.”

Building a Solid Safety “Firewall”
Safety is no trivial matter; prevention is key. The institution places great importance on fire safety and regularly organizes specialized fire safety training for all faculty and staff. During this training session, fire safety professionals used real-life fire cases to provide in-depth instruction on core topics such as fire prevention, initial fire suppression, and fire escape and self-rescue. Through systematic and routine training, every teacher has acquired the ability to report fires, extinguish initial fires, and organize student evacuations, truly achieving the goal of “everyone understands fire safety, everyone knows how to respond to emergencies.”
Bringing Classroom Education to Children’s Hearts
Sowing the “Seeds of Safety”
While prioritizing teacher training, the institution has incorporated fire safety education into its daily curriculum. In the classroom, teachers use short animated videos to explain to the children the dangers of fire, the correct methods for escaping a fire, and how to properly dial “119” to report a fire. Teachers placed particular emphasis on demonstrating the key actions—“covering the mouth and nose with a wet towel and moving forward in a crouched position”—and guided the children in recognizing fire safety signs and familiarizing themselves with their classroom evacuation routes. This helped the children master basic fire safety knowledge and self-rescue skills, alleviated their fear of fires, and laid a solid foundation for the smooth conduct of the drill.
Practical Drills Prove Their Worth
Orderly Evacuation: “No Panic”
On the day of the drill, the center ignited smoke bombs at designated locations to simulate a fire. As the fire alarm suddenly blared, the fire drill officially began. The center promptly activated its fire emergency response plan, and all faculty and staff immediately took their assigned positions, guiding the children to safety from key locations such as classrooms, hallways, and stairwells. Teachers in each class quickly organized the children to cover their mouths and noses with wet towels, bend over, and move quickly, quietly, and orderly along the pre-designated evacuation routes to assemble in the safe outdoor area. During the evacuation, the teachers had clearly defined roles: some led the way at the front, some supervised the middle of the line, and some brought up the rear, constantly reminding the children to “don’t push” and “watch your step”; Floor coordinators remained at their posts, promptly directing the flow of people to prevent crowding and stampedes; the entire evacuation process was conducted in a tense yet orderly manner, with no incidents of crowding or falls.
After all students and teachers had safely assembled at the designated location, teachers from each class immediately took roll call and reported the numbers up the chain of command to confirm that no one was missing. The entire drill proceeded in a seamless, well-coordinated manner, achieving the expected goals of speed, efficiency, and safety.
After the drill concluded, the teachers promptly provided emotional support and psychological counseling to the children and conducted a refresher session on fire safety knowledge based on the scenario that had just unfolded. This series of fire safety activities—combining training with drills—not only tested the practicality of the facility’s fire emergency response plan but also further enhanced the emergency response capabilities of the staff. Moreover, it allowed the children to gain a firsthand understanding of the dangers of fire and master basic escape techniques through hands-on experience.
Safety is of the utmost importance, and prevention begins before an incident occurs. Slark will use this event as an opportunity to continue integrating safety education into daily life and to conduct various safety drills on a regular basis, ensuring that safety awareness is deeply ingrained in the hearts of every teacher and student, and dedicated to safeguarding the safe and healthy growth of every child.
