The September breeze carries a hint of autumn—and a sense of gratitude. Teachers’ Day belongs to everyone who stands at the front of the classroom, bends down to a child’s level, and patiently accompanies them as they grow. For special education teachers, this profession demands even greater patience, professionalism, and love. They may face instructions repeated a thousand times over, subtle progress that others might easily overlook, or the daily routine of companionship and waiting.

To celebrate Teachers’ Day, the SLARK organized a barbecue outing for its special education teachers. No lesson plans, no evaluation forms—just sizzling grills, steaming food, and a long-awaited sense of relaxation.
As the charcoal fire blazed and the aroma of grilled meat filled the air, the teachers sat together in a circle, turning the food, sharing dipping sauces, and raising their glasses in a toast. Some teachers chatted about the small but steady progress of the children in their classes, while others shared amusing anecdotes from their daily lives. Amid the delicious food and lively conversation, the bonds within the team grew stronger.

This barbecue was more than just a gathering; it was an expression of recognition and gratitude. We thank the special education teachers for their unwavering dedication day after day, and for the extra effort they put in behind the scenes, where others may not see it. Behind every small change in a child lies their countless repetitions, words of encouragement, and patience. They safeguard growth with their expertise, soothe emotions with kindness, and kindle hope through their perseverance.

May delicious food soothe your weariness, and may laughter ease your stress. Let go of your worries, savor the food, and pay tribute to every ounce of patience and passion. Happy Teachers' Day!
